I'm Daniel Bettridge, the person behind Blank Slate Content.

I'm a writer, editor, author, and social media expert with more than a decade’s worth of experience working at the highest levels of the industry for publications including The Guardian, The Atlantic, BBC and The Times. 

As a journalist who has cut his teeth in the modern content landscape, I have always seen my job as one that goes beyond simply writing a good piece of copy. I don't just tell the same old stories. Instead I'm constantly innovating, crafting creative content ideas to hook readers in, whilst tirelessly working to set my work aside from the editorial crowd. 

Whether I'm working with some of the world’s most recognized brands, or newspapers with hundreds of years of history; I not only know how to write good copy, but also how to package information to ensure that audiences actually engage with it.

As an Editor at Daily Hive, one of Canada's fastest growing digital outlets, I have a proven track record of producing content that people not only want to read but actively engage with and share on social media. My work at the publication comes off of the back of a career as an Editor / Writer for publications across the globe including The Guardian, The Atlantic, BBC, The Times, The Telegraph, Yahoo, The Independent, and The Week amongst others. 


Author

An expert in all things pop culture, I am a published author with two books to my name. The first, The Travel Guide to the Seven Kingdoms of Westeros, has been translated into five different languages and sold in more than 10 countries across the globe. My most recent book, The A - Z of Stranger Things, is currently available in all good book shops (and some bad ones). 


COntent Marketing

With experience working for brands including Cineplex, Virgin, Top Man, MSN and Vancouver Whitecaps FC I'm no stranger to high profile consumer campaigns. I also have experience working in content marketing for companies in sectors including technology, security, investment, charity, and B2B. 


PR / Communications

As a former director at a boutique PR agency in the UK, I have run successful campaigns for everything from stockbrokers to startups.
